To assess the county’s implementation of Financially Locally Led Climate Action (FLLoCA), the Bomet County Climate Change Steering Committee Chaired By Governor Prof Hillary Barchok, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, and Climate Change Unit workshop entered its second day today, with National Treasury Project Implementation Unit (NTPIU) team took the committees through on how to strengthen Monitoring and Evaluation, Reporting of various projects as well as Grievance Redress of the FLLoCA projects in the county
Governor Prof Barchok, in his closing remarks of the workshop, assured that his committee endeavor to meet set minimum requirements will be observed to attract more FLLoCA funding of climate resilient activities in the county.
In attendance were County Commissioner Dr Ahmed Omar, Executive Committee Members Juliah Chepkutoh (Water and Environment), Justus Maina (Administration), Rosa Lang’at (Agriculture), Chief Officers Solomon Kimetto (Water, Environment and Climate Change) and Dr Kibet Sitienei (Agriculture), Monitoring and Evaluation Committee Members and Climate Change Unit Officers.
